Deep slate-blue neutrals carry the city; gold leaf is the single primary. Candlelight amber, baroque rose, and aged verdigris are supporting accents — used conservatively for state and highlight, never as the only signal.
Fraunces — a high-contrast old-style serif with optical sizing — carries headlines like an engraver's hand. Spectral handles body copy with literary calm. Familjen Grotesk supplies clean, lapidary labels.
Body copy is set in Spectral at a generous measure, capped near 65 characters per line. It reads warmly against the frost-blue ground, with italic accents for emphasis and place-names.

A nonlinear ten-step scale governs spacing and the lapidary grid — built on 4px increments that widen toward the top of the page, composed like a baroque facade.
